Starring – Bevan Gardiner

Bevan Gardiner is passionate about what he does. He has been a fan of the famous singer for more than 20 years and even travelled to Aspen Colorado twice where he met Denver’s mother, Irma Deutschendorf, and brother, Ron. “I am really excited about bringing this show to Australia, I am a John Denver fan and to be able to sing his songs is such an honour,” Gardiner says. Gardiner is partially sighted, and can only see people as silhouettes, but this has never held him back from enjoying life and in particular, his love of music.

Vocals – Georgie Daniell

Georgie Daniell, who will tour with Bevan in the John Denver tribute show, says “It is quite eerie singing on stage with Bevan because he sounds so like John Denver you think you are on stage with him.” Daniell, who also toured with Charley Pride, can’t wait to go on the road again with Gardiner. “I had the time of my life and made some great new friends who I hope to see again one day soon.”

Musical Director – Davey Walker

Davey originally came from Ireland and now lives in Vancouver, Canada. He has been a musical director for over 30 years and specialises in playing the piano and keyboards. Over his career he has toured with Isla Grant, Will Miller (Irish Rovers), the musical production ‘Ireland’ and in Canada was the musical director and composer with the CBC ‘Jimmy Ferguson Show’. “The Colonel” has toured as Musical Director for many of Event Entertainment Ltd’s productions.

Drums – Allan Cattermole

Allan gave his first performance behind a drum set at age 11 and began playing professionally when he was 16. He has performed ever since, throughout New Zealand and most of Australia. He began touring with Event Entertainment Ltd in 2000 and has toured with several shows since then. Allan is a consummate drummer who always brings joy and passion to the stage, along with a total commitment to the music.

Bass Guitar – Darryl Walker

Darryl Walker is a third generation musician who studied classical guitar from 10 years old and transitioned to bass guitar at 18 when he realised his passion for groove. Currently enjoys playing, singing and recording with a variety of artists incorporating many genres of music from Country, Pop, Folk, Rock, Soul, Funk, Blues and Motown and regular member of Event Entertainment Touring Crew – Patsy Cline. Jim Reeves, Roy Orbison and John Denver Shows.

Lead Guitar – Glen Bain

Born Auck NZ July 1956 Glen Studied Classical Guitar Playing from age 7yrs & switched Country Music under the tuition of Legendary Guitarist Gray Bartlett in the mid 70s.

Glen moved to Sydney, Australia in 1981 to further his Music career.
Achievments to date include: 3 Gold Guitar Awards from Gore Country Music for songwriting. Best Instrumentalist Tamworth TIARA Award 1998. Musical Director for Australasian Artists: Jean Stafford, Reg Lindsay & Eddie Low.
Started working with Event Entertainment Ltd in 1999.
Touring and Recording with: John Grenell,Eddie Low,Suzanne Prentice & Isla Grant.
When not on the road Glen works locally in Sydney with his partner Wendy Jackson.

Glen’s International Flair is evident in his guitar playing with over 30 years experience in the Music Business, Touring, Songwriting, Recording and Producing Music.
